Florida exceptional student education (ESE) teachers can use the University of Florida ASD Certificate to satisfy the training requirement for the FL Department of Education autism endorsement.
Tuition support of $1,000 per course is available for eligible Florida public school exceptional student education teachers who plan to complete the University of Florida ASD Certificate and then go on to add the autism endorsement to their professional certificate.
Step 1: Review the course offerings (available Spring and Fall)

Step 2: Apply for admission to the UF ASD Certificate

Step 4: Register for your UF ASD Certificate classes once you have been admitted
Step 5: After completing your courses in the UF ASD Certificate, follow the FL Department of Education instructions for adding the autism endorsement to your FL educator professional certificate.
